If only we had the space

I co-curated ‘If only we had the space’, an exhibition inspired by Glasgow’s housing redevelopments and activist movements that span from the 1960s to the 1990s. Through contemporary craft and archive material from Glasgow Women’s Library, 'If only we had the space' responded to politics of housing, property rights and access to ‘space’. The exhibition will ran from 17 - 26 October 2024 at Platform, Glasgow.

ELECTRIC MUSES

ELECTRIC MUSES is a film exhibition series that stages silent surrealist films to a live score. Created in collaboration with Cinetopia, ELECTRIC MUSES tours independent cinemas and art spaces across the UK, and is funded by the British Film Institute. Our main feature is ‘The Seashell and the Clergyman’ (1928) by Germaine Dulac which is accompanied by a live soundtrack composed and performed by Aurora Engine and Bell Lungs. In addition, ELECTRIC MUSES commissioned a new score for Maya Deren’s experimental short, ‘Meshes of Afternoon’ composed and performed by the musical team. We also programmed shorts by Sarah Pucill and Barbara Hammer.
